Experiences with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and other autonomic dysfunction (dysautonomia) are different for everyone. Some people have no neuropsychiatric symptoms of POTS/dysautonomia, mild to severe symptoms, or entirely separate symptoms that part of a separate psychiatric diagnosis. Discerning these issues is nuanced and often takes real time and care.
As a dual board certified Psychiatric Mental Health & Family Practice Nurse Practitioner, my passion is treating the neuropsychiatric symptoms of POTs & dysauonomia. I also treat the comorbid psychiatric symptoms of rare neurological conditions such as Charcot Marie Tooth disease. Further, I love helping perimenopausal and menopausal women navigate changes in their mood, focus, and function through this critical time in life.
My dual training makes me uniquely qualified to distinguish between the physical, neuropsychiatric, and psychiatric symptoms you are experiencing. We will work together to find the right solutions for you!
